Student DIGI Awards 2024 event

May 28, 2024, Zagreb – We are thrilled to announce that AISight has secured 1st place at this year's Student DIGI Awards 2024, the most prestigious national award for young innovators in the field of digital technologies.

This year's competition sought the best solutions in digital transformation, robotics, smart cities, smart villages, and applications of machine learning and artificial intelligence. Out of 31 submitted projects, the jury selected the top 10 finalists.

The winning project, the AISight app, was developed by Vanesa Kereš, Lea Ivičin, and Tena Horvat, who are only 17 years old and were the youngest finalists in the competition. Second place was awarded to GenNest by Anđela Brekalo, while third place went to Chamois by David Copak.

The Future of Digital Innovation

Following the awards ceremony, a panel discussion was held on the topic "The Future of Young Digital Innovators and How Large Companies Are Shaping Innovation in Their Digital Business." Panel participants included Matej Sušanj, HR Business Partner at Croatia Osiguranje; Ana Milićević, Marketing Director at Telemach Croatia; Ivan Huzjak, Executive Director of IT Operations at APIS IT; and Damjan Huđek, Project Manager of "AI Studio" at Mplus Group. Representing AISight at the panel was Professor Mario Salai.

We are extremely proud of this achievement and grateful to both the jury and the audience for recognizing the potential of AISight. This victory motivates us to continue our work on providing innovative solutions that assist visually impaired individuals and push the boundaries of technology.
